Arrival in Addis Ababa and transfer to hotel. Have a free morning. Afternoon (13:30hrs from the hotel) you will leave for Geferssa Reservoir, some 20kms of West Addis Ababa for visit birds, Return to Addis Ababa in the early evening. O/N Ambassador/Debre Damo/Panorama Hotel.

Leave early and drive north through the Sululta plain to Debre Libanos and the Jemma River Gorge, about 110 km, back to Addis Ababa early evening. O/N Ambassador/Debre Damo/Panorama Hotel.

After Breakfast leave for Menagesha forest, about 50 km from Addis Ababa. Picnic lunch and return to Addis Ababa in the late afternoon. O/N Ambassador/Debre Damo/Panorama Hotel.

After breakfast depart for the Bilen Lodge near Awash National Park. There are many interesting birds. O/N Blien/Foafoati Lodge.

Breakfast at Bilen Lodge and drive to the National park to have some interesting birds and your overnight will be at Awash Falls (Fafate) lodge inside the National park. See also different mammals and also crocodiles and hippos. O/N Blien/Foafoati Lodge.

Drive to Lake Langano & many interesting birds. O/N Borati/Savana Lodge.

Drive to the Shalla and Abiyata National Parks and many interesting birds and drive to Awassa and many interesting birds. O/N Haile/Lewi Resort.

Before Breakfast visit fish Market where we can get really close to birds well used to human company. Then drive to Wondo Genet, and many interesting birds. O/N Wabe Shebele Hotel.

Drive to Bale mountains National Park. About 14 endemic birds have been recorded here. O/N Dinsho Hotel.

Full day birding in the amazing Afro-Alpine setting of the Sanete Plateau. Picnic lunch, returning to Goba late afternoon. O/N Goba Hotel.

Drive to Negele on the way different birding. O/N Negele Hotel.

Day trip will dedicated to Prince Ruspoli’s Turaco area. One of the rarest birds in the world but very colorful and impressive birds that only found in Ethiopia along the banks of the Nigele River. O/N Negele Hotel.

Drive to Yabello and have a sightseeing tour of Birding. O/N Motel.

Full day birding in Yabello and visit the ElSod crater. Continue driving to Yergalem. Argashi Lodge.

Drive back to Addis Ababa with visiting along the Great Rift Valley Lakes and have birding and departure. Day use room till 18:00hrs.

Addis Ababa was founded in 1886 by Emp. Menelik II, Addis Ababa is a pleasant city with wide avenues of Jacarandas, interesting museums and one of the largest open-air markets in Africa, known as Merkato; National Archaeological museum; Ethnological Museum; Trinity Cathedral; St. George’s Cathedral. 

Bahir Dar is a decidedly attractive town with palm-lined avenues and pretty lakeside vistas; South eastern shore of Lake Tana Ethiopia’s largest lake and provide access both the Lake and its many island Monasteries and the magnificent Blue Nile Falls locally known as Tiss Issat (meaning water that smokes) from where the Blue Nile leaves the lake heading towards Khartoum. Nearby Lake Tana, 1,800 meters above sea level, is one of the long hidden sources of the Nile; the Blue Nile falls and Lake Tana 3600 sq. kms surface is dotted with more than 36 islands, many of which are the sites of monasteries and churches. 

Gondar was Ethiopia’s Third capital in the 17th and 18th century, located at the foot of the Semien Mountains. The city’s unique imperial compound contains a number of castles built 1632 to 1885 by the various Emperors who reigned during this period. Gondar served as a permanent capital for 200 years until Emperor Tewodros II came to the throne. These dramatic castles of Faslidas is one of the UNSCO world Heritage sites in Ethiopia, unlike any other in Africa, display richness in architecture that reveals the Axumite traditions as well as the influence of Arabia; the church of Debre-Berhan  Sellassie; the Bath of Fasildas; the ruined palace of the Queen Mentiwab Kuskuam church. 

In the 10th century A.D. the capital of Ethiopia moved from Axum to Lalibela (formerly known as Roha) it is the city of legend a medieval settlement in the site of eleven rock-hewn monolithic churches that were believed to have been built by King Lalibela in the late 11th or early 12th century. The first group of the churches which represent the earthly Jerusalem and the largest monolithic rock-hewn church in the world. The Second group of the churches representing the heavenly Jerusalem. This UNESCO world heritage site carved inside and outside of solid rock is considered to be one of the wonders of the world. 

Axum simple frontier town is in fact a city of great importance as the ancient capital of Ethiopia. According to local legend, Axum was home to Queen Sheba and the current resting place of the Ark of the Covenant. The famous ‘Stele field’ (4th Century AD and UNESCO World Heritage Site, the ruin palace and tomb of King Kaleb and King Gebre Meskel (5th and 6th Century AD). The Archeological museum of Axum and the Cathedral of St. Mary of Zion. The original church was built by Emperor Fasiladas, founder of Gonder, in 1665.  

In the East parts of Ethiopia is the 16th century Islamic center of Harar, the city walls, the House of French Poet Arthur Rambo, the mosques, the churches, the Adere people traditional houses, the markets, the basket productions the Hyena man feeding performance, the Harar ancient city walls and the cultural museums are among the site being visited and more.
